Cold calling

The phone still books meetings faster than the inbox.

Australian setters dialling Australian lists in Australian business hours, working to a script you signed off, with every call recorded and every outcome logged.

JustCall dial log

Dial count on its own is a vanity number. We report dials, connects and conversations separately so you can see which one is actually moving. A calibrated day runs 110 to 140 dials, returning 18 to 25 connects and 15 to 20 real conversations with a decision maker. Industry benchmarks put the average B2B rep nearer 50 to 80 dials at an 8 to 12 per cent connect rate. The difference is verified mobile direct dials rather than switchboard numbers, and calling in the windows where your buyers actually answer.

What it is

What you are actually buying.

Cold calling is the channel most agencies quietly dropped because it is harder to run and harder to fake. Email volume can be scaled by a tool. Dial volume cannot.

We treat the call as the product. Scripts get rewritten off recordings, not off theory. Objection handling is trained and tested. The setter's job is to earn a specific slot in the calendar, not to build rapport and hope for a reply later.

Who it suits
  • Your buyers answer a phone during the working day.
  • Your offer can be explained in under 30 seconds without a diagram.
  • You want to hear what the market actually says back, not a reply rate.
What is included

Everything below is in the retainer, not an add on.

  • Verified direct dials rather than switchboard numbers
  • Scripts, openers and rebuttals written and approved before the first dial
  • Full call recording and access to the library
  • Daily disposition logging by every setter
  • Weekly script iteration based on the recordings, not on guesses
  • Do Not Call Register screening on the list before dialling
  • Voicemail and follow-up cadence for numbers that do not answer
What results look like

Connect rates and booking rates move week to week. What matters is direction across a month. You will see the objection themes shift as the script tightens, and that is usually the first signal that a campaign is working.

Retainer plus performance, or $800 to $2,800 per attended qualified meeting. See the full pricing page.

Questions

Questions about cold calling

How many dials a day does a setter make?

It varies with list quality and call length. Verified direct dials into a narrow ICP produce fewer dials and better conversations.

Dial count on its own is a vanity number. We report dials, connects and conversations separately so you can see which one is actually moving. A calibrated day runs 110 to 140 dials, returning 18 to 25 connects and 15 to 20 real conversations with a decision maker. Is cold calling legal in Australia for B2B?

Business to business calling operates differently to consumer calling, but the Do Not Call Register and the Spam Act still impose obligations, and the business exemption is narrower than most people assume.

We screen every list against the Do Not Call Register before dialling and suppress flagged numbers in the CRM before they reach a caller. This describes operating practice and is not legal advice.

Will you use our business name or yours?

Yours, unless you prefer otherwise. Setters introduce themselves as calling on behalf of your company.

Some clients prefer the setter to be named as a partner rather than an employee. Both work. We agree the wording during script approval.
